The first “Hilton” Hotel in Lithuania will be opened this summer: what aspects will make it unique?

The first “Hilton” Hotel in Lithuania will be opened in July in Vilnius, next to Lukiskiu Square. The hotel chain that operates in 109 countries will open a 4-star business class hotel in Vilnius “Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre”. This hotel will be one of the first networked hotels equipped according to a renewable concept, and its guests will find many local cultural elements in the spaces of the hotel.

A tribute to Lithuanian cultural heritage

An interior concept of “Hilton” has changed last year: it has become lighter, more spacious and adapted to the changing needs of travellers – special spaces for communication have been established. The hotel that will be opened in Vilnius will be one of the first hotels to be equipped according to a renewed concept. Even though the “Hilton” brand is international, “Hilton” encourages that hotels of this network that open in foreign countries to reflect their local culture. At the time of creating Lithuanian “Hilton Garden Inn”, the interior designers of “Jurta” have been given a great deal of creative freedom. Thus, a tribute has been given to the authentic Lithuanian cultural heritage.

“All this will be subtly reflected in details, and will become one of the elements that will make the hotel unique. Brass elements reminiscent of the characters of the Balts will be installed in floor tiles, the meeting rooms will be named after the Baltic tribes. Pendant ceiling lights made of brass are sort of a hint about an ethnographic ornament sodas (also known as himmeli) made of straws. Even a rough granite fireplace mantel should look like a dropped stone or Pagan sacred altar. The interior of the hotel will be dominated by earthly tranquil colours that are typical of Baltic culture, and small trees planted in pots in “Garden Lounge“ zone and illuminated with outdoor lights will be sort of a continuation of green Gediminas Avenue”, – reveals Nona Kondrotas, the interior designer of “Jurta”.
